	Titanium Valve Retainers These valve retainers are made from 6 Al - 4V Titanium Alloy. This alloy is a alpha-beta type Titanium base alloy with a 120,000 psi minimum yield strength, the good stuff... They are turned from solid bar stock on our CNC lathe to a very high quality surface finish. Why the high quality finish? Because the smoother the surface the less stiction there is and the reduction of stress risers. All the edges are filleted for this reason as well. What's this mean in the real world, they are slippery and less likely to crack.
